Following are the mandatory requirements for applying Machine Readable Passport (MRP). Original Bank Challan (receipt) with prescribed fee deposits. Original Computerised National Identity Card (CNIC)/NICOP/Smart-Card issued by NADRA with its 2-photocopies. OLD Passport with its photocopy, if issued.
While the standard timeline for receiving the normal passport is 30 days from the date of submitting the application, typically it takes two to three weeks to get a fresh passport or get your passport renewed. If applying for Tatkal, you can get a passport within one to three days
Visit your passport seva Kendra (PSK) along with the receipt of the payment made while applying in normal case. Inform the concern officer that your police verification is completed and you need your passport in 3-4 days. If they accept your application change into Tatkal they may ask for additional documents.
As long as your passport is valid (updated/renewed) and you have a valid Visa for the country you are planning to travel to, there should be no problem during immigration even if your police verification is not complete.
If you miss your police verification, you might be given a time limit to go to the police station to verify your documents. If you don't do this, your passport might get rejected. ... If your passport gets rejected, then re-apply for a fresh passport.

According to the existing passport policy the first ever passport will be issued only from the Regional Passport Office in whose jurisdiction the permanent or temporary address of the applicant as recorded in CNIC falls.
Applicants of subsequent passports can be entertained by the Regional passport Offices in Pakistan on the basis of temporary address (not given in CNIC) of the area which falls within the jurisdiction of those offices. However, such present addresses must be complete and attested by a Gazetted Officer bearing the CNIC & Telephone number of attester below his by name stamp.
The Government servants / Armed Forces personnel / Employees of autonomous / Semi Government bodies / Corporations and their family members are exempted from the restriction of jurisdiction (family members include wife, children & dependents parents).
Passport to the Spouse & family members may also be issued from the Regional Passport Office in whose jurisdiction the address of the Spouse is not recorded on CNIC/NICOP, but address of the husband recorded on his CNIC falls within the jurisdiction.
Student may be extended passport facilities on production of proof of the institution where he is studying.
All zonal heads are empowered to condone the condition of jurisdiction on merit of each case subject to production of proof of residence of the applicant.
